Abstract Submission Portal

The Alaska Public Health Association is now accepting abstracts for presentations or posters for the 2025 ALPHA Health Summit taking place January 28-30 at the Dena'ina Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59PM, Alaska Time, on September 30, 2024

The Summit theme will be "Advocating for the Health of All Alaskans"

We are seeking in-person presentations of the following lengths: 

  • 5 minutes (Lightning Talk)

  • 20 minutes (15 for presentation + 5 Q&A)

  • 40 minutes (preference for 40 minutes will be given to presentations that include an interactive or skills-based learning component)

  • Poster 

    • Selected Posters will be collected starting the first morning of the Summit on January 28 and will be on display through the duration of the event.  Your presence will be required at the Poster Presentation Session held on January 29, the second day of the Summit.

    • Selected Student Posters will be entered into a Student Poster Contest.

And on the following general topic areas (select the one you think your abstract best aligns with):

  • Climate & Environment

  • Health Equity

  • Public Heath Infrastructure

  • Public Health Programming

  • Sexual Health & Wellness

  • Rebuilding Trust in Public Health

When submitting your abstract(s), please be ready to include: 

  • Full name, credentials, position title, and email address for all presenters (up to 4 total)

  • ALL Presenters MUST fill out the Financial Disclosure form at https://forms.office.com/r/An6xSK6A0A.  Further instructions are in the Submission Form.

  • An abstract of 2500 characters or less that includes information about the public health problem, what the presentation will cover, how it will cover this information, and the intended audience.

    • Please spell out acronyms/abbreviations.

  • 3-5 Topic Keywords

  • Description of the Target Audience

  • 3-5 Learning Objectives (using behavioral terms such as discuss, list, identify, analyze, etc.)
